 There
is nothing quite like the compassion that comes from others who understand
and face many of the same challenges and issues in the autism world, as
well as the joys and successes of an autistic child .
With no cure having
been found as of yet, the fact is that autism statistics are at an
astoundingly high rate of incident. Many parents whose child has had a
recent autism assessment, whether diagnosed as mild Pervasive
Developmental Disorder (PDD), Asperger Syndrome or severe autism, can
become quickly overwhelmed. Having to learn about a multitude of theories
such as the MMR vaccination and Chelation to various types of therapies,
treatments and strategies can leave families feeling simply exhausted.
Mission Statement: Our non-profit group strives to uplift families and friends of those who
live with Autism Spectrum Disorders through our
monthly meetings facilitated by a COSAC professional. "COSAC",

Outreach and Services
for the Autism Community, is dedicated
to ensuring that all people with autism receive appropriate, effective
services to maximize their growth potential and to enhance the general public's overall awareness of autism."
Our
Purpose: The Salem County Autism Support Group believes that amongst the exchange of experiences and information in
a lighthearted atmosphere, we can improve the lives of individuals with
autism, while providing families with the support that is needed. We hope
